Born on June 23, 1954, in Woodstock, New Brunswick, Randy devoted much of his life to improving opportunities and accessibility for people living with disabilities. Throughout his distinguished career, he served as Executive Director of organizations including Camp Rotary and Easter Seals New Brunswick. He also became the founding Executive Director of the Premier’s Council for Disabled Persons, where he helped advance important conversations surrounding equality and inclusion.
Randy Dickinson played a significant role in shaping accessibility legislation, contributing to both the New Brunswick Accessibility Act and the Federal Accessible Canada Act. His decades of advocacy and service earned national recognition, including his appointment to the Order of Canada in 1999 and the Order of New Brunswick in 2022.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Randy was remembered for his compassion, generosity, and unwavering commitment to helping others.
